Organized COMMED IMPETUS 3.0 – UG Refresher Course 2025

Dr. M. Madhumitha, Associate Professor, warmly welcomed the gathering.

Our respected Dean (FAC), Prof. Dr. K.U. Suresh Balan, delivered the Chief Guest Address and introduced COMMED IMPETUS 3.0 to the audience.

Prof. Dr. J. Anaiappan, from the Institute of Community Medicine, Madras Medical College, and President of IAPSM (TN Chapter), delivered the Guest of Honor address.

Prof. Dr. Y. Kingsely Jeba Singh, Medical Superintendent, and Dr. Niban delivered their felicitations.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Edwin Emperor, Prof. Dr. Muthukumar, Dr. Vijayalakshmi (RMO), and Dr. Renimol (ARMO).

The Dean officially released the COMMED IMPETUS 3.0 MCQ Bank, which comprises 3,750 MCQs meticulously prepared by the 2022 batch of MBBS students.

Dr. R. Abishek, Senior Assistant Professor, delivered the Vote of Thanks.


Scientific Sessions:

Prof. Dr. K.U. Suresh Balan shared valuable tips on tackling epidemiology exercises.

Prof. Dr. Jeevithan, Vice Principal and HoD of Community Medicine, KMCH Institute of Health Sciences, Coimbatore, gave an excellent presentation on Clinico-Social Case Discussion.

Dr. Austoria, Associate Professor, KMMC Muttom, delivered a wonderful session on the Approach to National Health Programs.
(Both sessions were moderated by Prof. Dr. J. Anaiappan.)

Dr. M. Madhumitha, Associate Professor, conducted a session on Approaching Essay Questions.

Dr. R. Abishek, Senior Assistant Professor, handled a session on Approaching Short Notes.

Dr. Abiselvi, Senior Assistant Professor, Thoothukudi Government Medical College, discussed OSPE (Case Scenario) Approaches.

Dr. Judson, Assistant Professor, provided exam-oriented tips for solving statistics exercises.

Finally, a Quiz Competition was conducted by Dr. Judson, Dr. T. Manju, and Dr. M. Anbu, all Assistant Professors.


Over 150 pre-final MBBS students benefitted from this well-curated academic event.
