Theme: ‘ Simple solution for a heathier future ‘

World ORS Day is observed every year on July 29th to create awareness & importance of ORS.
As a part of the observance, a special event was organized
The inaugural address was delivered by Prof. Dr. K. U. Suresh Balan, Dean (FAC), who highlighted the importance of ORS
Dr. M.Gopal Associate Professor, Department of Community Medicine, warmly welcomed the gathering and set the tone for the program.
The scientific sessions included insightful talks by eminent speakers:
Prof. Dr. S..V.Arul Prasanth Head of the Department of pediatrics presented an informative session on the clinical features of Diarrhoea.
Dr. Kingsly Jebasingh, Medical Superintendent, elaborated on the risk factors associated with Diarrhoea.
Dr.T.M.Manju ,Senior Assistant Professor Department of Community Medicine, delivered a talk on the theme of ORS.
Dr. R.Anila, Department of Paediatrics discussed on Signs of dehydration
The event was conducted in the esteemed presence of Dr.S.Lenin NSS coordinater KGMCH Dr. Vijayalakshmi, RMO, and Dr. Reni Mol, ARMO.

DGNM students did a role play to create a awareness & importance of ORS
The program was attended by over 150 DGNM students, including faculties, CRMIs, paramedical staff, and medical students, all of whom benefited greatly from the sessions.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. R. Sudev kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, acknowledging the contributions of all speakers, participants, and organizers
